Sooo…Then there’s when you say to your therapist, “Do you think I’ll be ready to go home in a month?” And she doesn’t even need to speak, you know the answer just by the look on her face.
And then there’s when you push yourself too hard in your Sexuality group.
And then there’s when you need to deal with eating disorder behaviors before you can do more trauma work in therapy.
And then there’s when your peer calls you out in front of your dietitian over not having milk with breakfast.
And then there’s when you have to tell your husband that you will likely won’t be home for 8 more weeks.
And then there’s when you need a prescription refill and the pharmacy doesn’t have the med.
And then there’s when you start an intense piece of work in Art Therapy.
And then there’s when you sit by the fire, message with friends, make plans for the weekend and stay up too late because you are messaging with friends, and you feel almost normal when you go to bed.
And then there’s when you wake up the next day….And things aren’t quite as normal as you’d like, but it is the normal that you need right now to stay healthy. And so you just keep going.
